Parent’s Night Out Summer Program

We had a number of families take advantage of our successful June PNO PLUS day programming and we had fun with trips and in-house activities. We are planning to offer five days during the last two weeks of August and invite you to join us.

We will have a Sussex home base and a Morris home base on a rotating schedule as the majority of our interested families were from these two counties. We will offer limited transportation from our Budd Lake office to Sparta-please request when you sign up by phone or internet. If you are interested in sharing carpooling from Sussex County to Budd Lake, let me know and I will put you in touch with other interested families.

We have scheduled outside field trips on Monday, Friday and Wednesday based out of Budd Lake. These days will be for consumers only; we will not be able to accommodate siblings. If there is bad weather (rain or heat wave) we will go on an “inside field trip” to the movies, for example. You will be notified by 8:30 am if the plan has changed, so you can prepare your child.

On Tuesday and Thursday we will stay at our Sparta annex base and are planning special activities and entertainment. There may be limited sibling participation available, depending on how many consumers sign up.

At both sites we will staff and run a program daily, no matter what the weather, with a variety of games, special crafts, inside and outside play and quiet activities available each day.

You may sign up on an individual day basis. Please look at each day’s scheduled activity and sign up for those that best fit your child’s interests, abilities and needs. We will expect your child to stay for the full 5 hour session.

Registration ends Aug. 15, and you will be notified August 16 of admission status.

Monday, August 23

Meet at Christ Episcopal Church in Budd Lake. Field trip to Oxford Lake for swimming and picnic.

Meet at First Presbyterian Church of Sparta, Ed. Annex. Rizzo’s Reptiles will present an educational animal show.

Meet at Christ Episcopal Church in Budd Lake. Field trip to go bowling at Circle Lanes.
